Energy Work & Intuitive Guidance

Blood Moon Reiki is an energy work and intuitive guidance practice focused on reweaving interconnection with the natural world, exploring shadow self, grief work and ancestral healing.

When we are relaxed and stress-free, we are able to restore our natural ability to heal.

A Reiki healing session can induce an extremely comfortable state of being that can bring alteration in consciousness, support the immune system, help accute (injuries), chronic problems (asthma, eczema, headaches, etc), and aide the breaking of addictions.

Reiki is subtle energy work in which healing is performed by the touch of the hands, allowing the flow of energy from a limitless source to the patient via the Reiki practitioner. It is extremely powerful, yet gentle energy that can be easily channeled to yourself and others, just by intention.

Long term practice of whole-body Reiki helps restore the general condition of the body. It opens the energy channels, which allows the body to deal properly and naturally with stress and built-up toxins and cope with anxiety and depression.

When a person is in good health, regular therapy will increase the body's built-in defenses. This will often manifest itself as confidence and outward harmony in dealing with everyday events.

Certified Reiki Master

My interest in energy work and holistic modalities started with a need to heal the mysteries within my own body. Reiki became the foundation of my healing and a guiding light in my own path. After five years of practice, study and certification, I became a certified Reiki Master of the Usui tradition.

My personal work revolves around inspiring others to reconnect with the natural world, themselves and holistic modalities. Though the foundation of my practice is Reiki, I also have a degree in alternative and holistic wellness, I'm a cook who specializes in food sensitivities and allergies, I study sound healing, herbalism, wild crafting, plant spirit medicine and ancestral healing. In short, I'm interested in all aspects of holistic living, making them accessible and easily understood.

My training includes:

  • 2006-2010 Minor in Holistic Health and Wellness from Ithaca College

  • 2013 Reiki Level I Certification with Gloria Flynn

  • 2015 Reiki Level II Certification with Gloria Flynn

  • 2018 Certified Reiki Master of the Usui Tradition with Gloria Flynn

  • 2018 Ancestral Healing with Rain Crowe

  • 2018-2019 Practical Animism with Daniel Foor

  • 2019 Garden Internship with Denise Despirito

  • 2019 Plant Spirit Medicine with Jillian Twisla

  • 2013-Present Day, Ongoing mentorship with Gloria Flynn, deepening connection to Druid traditions and the Celtic shamanic expressions of the traditions, ancestral healing, Reiki, and reclaiming ceremony and ritual.

  • 2018-Present Day, Ongoing co-weaving with Moriah Helms, uncovering and deepening my own culturally relevant practices for mindfully approaching and tending relationships with land, altars, ancestors, and the unseen.

  • 2018-Present Day, Ongoing training through Nibezun and Maine-Wabanaki REACH

One of the basic teachings of healing with Reiki is that we are more than our physical bodies. We also have an energy body made up of our aura (energy fields), the chakras (energy centers) and the meridians (energy pathways.) Like our physical body that takes in food to nourish it and give it energy, our energy body does the same. The energy fields take energy in, the chakras break it down, and the meridians distribute it throughout the body. If we are unable to work together in person, I am able to provide Reiki from a distance by focusing my attention on these energy fields.

If you feel in need of intuitive guidance, to talk through threads that keep appearing, a hand hold through unseen aspects of a large decision, I offer to hold space for you to explore in a safe and held container. Either over the phone or in person, we will drop in together and see what needs attention, tending, release, weaving, or simply what wishes to come through. These sessions often include light energy work, card pulls, sound healing, and suggestions of how to integrate and further your inner knowing.

If you feel most comfortable indoors, I invite you to join me in my healing space, which is HSP, BIPOC, trans, and Queer friendly. If you are interested in an at-home session, please note that an hour of quiet space without interruption is necessary and you must live within 15 minutes of Blue Hill, Maine.

Combining the healing effects of forest bathing and Reiki, I invite you to join me in the woods for a Forest Session. Fresh air, sunshine and the woodland chorus provide my favorite atmosphere for channeling energy and a powerful space for healing.

I believe healing should be accessible to all, therefore, I work on a sliding scale, which ranges from a half hour to an hour depending on the depth of work needed.

To make an appointment - in person (Blue Hill, Maine) or from afar - please follow the guidelines here or send questions to:

"Incredible session that teaches you about yourself and is individually unique. Heather’s professional knowledge, approach, and care was consistent from start to finish. She was willing to take the time to make sure I was comfortable and answer any questions. I was surprised by what I learned about myself and I am fortunate to have experienced. I highly recommend and would do again."
